Nexen first began in 1942 and was initially named Heung-A Tire Company. After 14 years of providing tires for drivers in Korea, the company was recognized as the first official Korean tire company. The tire company continued to be renamed until finally, in 2000, we decided to name the company after the combination of these two simple words: next and century.
